Information we process
Newsletter subscriptions use your email address, subscription status, confirmation and unsubscribe timestamps, and delivery history. Restricted administrator accounts use identity and security data. Server operations may record IP address, browser details, request time, and error diagnostics.
How information is used
Information is used to deliver and administer the newsletter, secure and operate the site, respond to contact, diagnose errors, and maintain audit records. We do not sell or rent newsletter addresses.
Analytics, comments, and providers
When enabled and permitted by your consent choices, Google Analytics may process page and device information and Disqus may process information needed to display comments. SendGrid or another selected email provider processes newsletter delivery. These providers may process information in other countries under their own privacy terms.
Cookies and choices
Authentication and security cookies are essential. Optional analytics and comment scripts should load only when the applicable consent choice permits them. You may unsubscribe through the link in any newsletter and may decline optional scripts without losing access to core site content.
Retention and security
Information is retained indefinitely for operational, security, legal, and recordkeeping purposes unless you ask us to delete it and we are not required to keep it. We use access controls, protected action tokens, encryption in transit, and other safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact Valerie@PrincessValerie.net and we will delete it.
California privacy rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, applies to California residents. Subject to its limits and exceptions, you may request to know the personal information we have collected about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact Valerie@PrincessValerie.net; we may need to verify your identity before responding, and an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.
Consent choices for optional analytics and comment scripts are offered to all visitors. We do not currently operate a separate consent program for the EEA, the United Kingdom, or other regions outside California.
Your requests
To ask about access, correction, deletion, or another applicable privacy right, contact Valerie@PrincessValerie.net. Updates to this statement will be shown by changing its effective date.
